How ratings work

Every product gets one overall score out of 5, given by people who actually own it. The dial you see everywhere is the average of those scores. Reviewers tell us how long they've owned the product, so something that looked great in week one but failed in year two shows up honestly over time.

Anyone can rate anonymously. Reviewers with a Rateingo account are marked Registered and their country appears with their review — and you can filter every score on the site by country, or by registered reviewers only.

Common issues

Why is Rateingo displaying differently on my browser?
Usually your browser is showing an older saved copy of the site. Do a hard refresh — Ctrl+Shift+R on Windows, Cmd+Shift+R on Mac, or clear the browser cache on mobile. Rateingo works best on up-to-date versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari. If the page still looks broken, try a private/incognito window; if it looks right there, clearing your cache will fix the normal window too.
Sign-in or registration issues
Check that your browser allows cookies for rateingo.com — sign-in cannot work without them. Make sure the email is typed correctly and the password is at least 8 characters. If you see "An account with this email already exists", use the Sign in tab instead of Create account. After several failed attempts, sign-in is paused for up to an hour for security — wait and try again.
I've forgotten my password. How do I sign in?
If you originally signed up with Google, just use the "Sign in with Google" button — Google accounts don't have a Rateingo password. If you signed up with email and password, a self-service reset is coming soon; until then, email support@rateingo.com from your registered address and we'll help you recover access.
I signed up with Google. Can I also sign in with a password?
Not yet — accounts created through Google sign in through Google only. Using the same email in the password form will show "Email or password is incorrect", which is expected. Just use the Google button whenever you sign in.
My ratings or reviews seem to be gone. What happened?
First check the filters near the top of the page — if a country filter or "Registered reviewers only" is switched on, reviews outside that selection are hidden and every dial recalculates. Set the country to "All countries" and untick the checkbox to see everything. Also make sure you're signed in if you're looking for the Registered badge on your own review. Submitted reviews are stored permanently and are not deleted by updates to the site.
Why do I get an error when submitting a review?
The most common reasons: no star rating selected (tap a star first), review text shorter than 10 characters, or submitting several reviews in a short time — there's a limit of a few reviews per hour to keep spam out. The message under the form tells you which one applies.
I no longer have access to my email account. How do I recover my Rateingo account?
Email support@rateingo.com from any address you can use, mention the email your account was registered with, and we'll verify ownership and help you move the account to a new email.
